Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026This policy explains what OpenMinded Games collects when you play, and why. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email.
What we store about your plays
When you play, we store your score, which questions you got right, how long your play took, how you arrived (for example from a creator's link or a challenge link), clicks back to the video on YouTube, and any 'Side with the host' votes. These are linked to a random ID created for your browser, not to your name or email. If you choose to add a nickname to a leaderboard, we store the nickname too.
What's kept in your browser
Your browser remembers which questions you've already played (so replays put new ones first), which channels you've played, and your sound and Lightning mode settings. This stays on your device. Clearing your browsing data removes it.
Why we use it
To run the games and leaderboards, to show crowd results, and to give creators totals such as plays, finish rates and how many players got each question right. Creators see totals, never individual players. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
YouTube and Google
Videos play in YouTube's embedded player. We use YouTube API Services, and YouTube may set cookies and collect data when you use its player, under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep play records for the length of the pilot and up to 12 months after it. You can ask us to delete a nickname or your play records at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, such as seeing or correcting the data we hold.
Children
OpenMinded Games is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from younger children.
